There is an Annual Armistice Service at the War Memorial at 10.45 on Armistice Day followed by a service in the Church for the town.
During the year there are other events including Kirkin' of the Callant
World Day of Prayer
Always the first Friday in March. In 2020 the venue will be Old & Trinity Church.
Lent study groups took place in two venues in 2019, using the York Courses material. It has been used for many years now.
An annual coffee morning is held in the British Legion Hall on a Saturday near Christian Aid Week.
Worship events take place as follows.
Communion Service at 7pm.
Meditation on the Cross. 10.15 am.
Jedburgh Churches Walk of Witness. 10.45am walking through the town, starting at Old and Trinity Church, and visiting the knoll near the Swimming Pool,
the War Memorial, the Health Centre, the Mercat Square, the Friary, the former Trinity Church, and St John's Church. Then coffee/tea and Hot Cross Buns in the St John's Centre.
Occasionally there is a Tenebrae Service on Good Friday evening. This is a dramatic presentation depicting some of the Apostles returning to the Upper Room the night after Passover as they try to work out just what has happened. It is a Service of Shadows as the lighting gets lower and lower as the presentation progresses. What will happen next?
